Symposium  for Gallerists and Art Professionals
November 11-12, 2013
Participation Fee €200 (see web for concessions)
Limited spaces

TG is the first international meeting focused on galleries and the art market.  The main objective is to discuss the current issues that affect this particular sector in an open platform where professionals can share experiences and build new effective knowledge collectively.

We met for the first time in September 2011: 222 participants from around the world, 127 galleries from NY to Cape Town to Sao Paolo,  20 speakers and panellists of the stature of Casey Kaplan (Casey Caplan Gallery NY), Bartomeu Mari (MACBA, Barcelona) or Carlos Urroz (ARCO, Madrid)- see web for full list

Their  shared knowledge, the conclusions and the vital questions that resulted from that first encounter are going to be our starting point for TALKING GALLERIES 2013.

Last December our Think Tank– Ann Demeester (De Appel, Amsterdam), Eduardo Brandao (Galeria Vermelho, Sao Paulo) Georgina Adam (FT, London), Alain Servais (collector, Brussels) to name a few,   identified the axes of action on how to tackle the future of galleries.

Here are some of their proposals: Would you like to learn from lawyer Daniel McLean, advisor to governments and galleries  on how transparent deals can be?, or are you interested in Jocelyn Wolff’s view on dealing with the big brand galleries. Take your notes to Claes Nordenhake’s discussion on art fairs– certainly bold coming from an Art Basel Committee member like himself. Let’s talk with Ainhoa Grandes and her panel, about relationships between galleries, dealers and collectors.

Come to Barcelona and be part of the debate, be ready to be challenged, and shaken up by our speakers, and take the opportunity to mix and mingle with your fellow gallerists in a non selling environment. Book now on:
